Infectious Disease: Structural Genomics Services to the Scientific Community
Emerald BioStructures is part of a consortium that provides a protein gene-to-structure service to the infectious disease scientific community. We have determined structures for more than 350 infectious disease targets thus far and continue to add structures to the PDB at a rate of 125 per year. In addition to Emerald members of the Seattle Structural Genomics Center for Infectious Disease (SSGCID) include: Seattle BioMed, The University of Washington, and Pacific Northwest National Labs. The consortium is funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID), Federal Contract No.: HHSN272200700057C.
Emerald BioStructures can reproduce any of these structures to obtain novel ligand-bound structures, or apply this diverse experience to any other infectious disease targets that have not been previously described. Emerald has crystallized many different viral (HCV, RSV, Influenza, etc.), bacterial and parasitic eukaryotic targets on behalf of our clients.
