Emerald BioStructures and its sister company Emerald BioSystems were acquired by Beryllium LLC, a Delaware Limited Liability Company in November, 2009. Beryllium LLC and the Emerald companies (Emerald BioStructures and Emerald BioSystems) are owned and financed by a group of strong investors, including: Arctaris, Eastern Growth Captial, FORMA Therapeutics, Gemini Investors, and Kendall Square Partners.

They are focused on shareholder liquidity, management buyouts, acquisition financing, and growth capital transactions with established companies led by experienced management teams. Gemini invests in numerous industry sectors, including business services, healthcare, education, recycling, consumer services, manufacturing, distribution, and later stage technology.
