GPCR-Related Press Releases of the First Half of 2010
To assess the level of activity that companies publicize their work on GPCRs I conducted a quick search at PRNewswire. Below is the listing for those press releases published in first half of 2010 that contain the search term ‘GPCR’. More than half of all press releases were published by the Seattle company Omeros. I’m wondering why that is so. Any ideas?
Apart from this oddity, the list gives some insight into the active players of this industry. Intriguingly, not a single big pharma company is included, even though they are working intensely in this field. No need to publicise or no success stories to show off, I’m wondering.
